Depiction of the estimated amount of water input to the magma chamber based on MI data from this study. The percentage of water in the magma chamber is 3.3–7.0 wt.% (6.8 × 1013 to 2.3 × 1014 kg), which accumulated during a 3 Myr period along the ~10 km arc length of the chamber. The right-hand part of the diagram shows the geothermal gradient of Shirasawa Caldera (located immediately to the NE of Fukano Caldera), and its surrounds (70°C/km) [45].
