Supplementary Figure: Substrate specificity of rhACE2 in whole blood. 100 pg/ml recombinant human renin was added to anti-coagulated whole blood and rhACE2 was added to a final concentration of 5 μg/ml where indicated. Samples were incubated at 37°C in the absence (left) or presence (right) of 10 μM Lisinopril, followed by sample stabilization through addition of protease inhibitor cocktail. Angiotensin peptide concentrations were quantified by LC-MS/MS as described in material and methods and resulting RAS-Fingerprints are presented as sphere graphs with the concentrations of individual peptides given in pg/ml plasma.
