Toward 3D Integration of 1D Conductors: Junctions of InAs Nanowires

Current versus backgate voltage for individual nanowires. AC voltage is applied on electrode 1(3) with the resulting current measured out of 2(4) for the blue (green) curve, which corresponds to measuring the linear conductance of the top (bottom) nanowire. While measuring 1-2, the contact to 3-4 is left floating (and vice versa). Inset is a SEM image of the device with scale bar of 1 um. These traces were measured at He3 cryostat base temperature of 300 mK.
