Synthesis, Properties, and Applications of Polymeric Nanocomposites

Description

Currently, one of the most attractive parts of nanotechnology is the polymer nanocomposites. They are demanded practically in all areas of human activity due to wide possibilities of regulation of obtained composites properties by variations not only of the polymer bindings but the kind of nanoparticles as well. This caused a great interest in the methods of synthesis of polymer nanocomposites, which take into account the specifics of nanoparticles and give the solutions of related problems. From this point of view, the method of frontal polymerization is beginning to occupy a significant place in the literature because of its ability to provide not only agglomerated nanoparticles deagglomeration but also their uniform distribution in the polymer matrix. At the same time, the phenomenon of interfacial interaction of nanoparticles with the polymer macromolecules is of practical and scientific interest. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • New technological methods of nanocomposites synthesis with their ability to provide not only agglomerated nanoparticles deagglomeration but also their uniform distribution in the polymer matrix
  • Investigations of morphological features of interface layer between nanoparticles and macromolecules
  • Investigations of physical-mechanical, optical, thermophysical, superconducting, and other properties of polymer nanocomposites
  • Creations and investigations of nanocomposites based on polymer gels with prolonged desorption of the absorbed active substances
  • Investigations of the methods of synthesis polymeric nanomaterials with gradient properties in one general sample
