Examples of GCs with different grid spacing and field size activities (a) function with  m (coarse-scale grid) and (b) with  m (fine-scale grid). It is of note how the GCs build a coordinate map composed of multiple grid layers, each with a different length scale between grid points, but with fixed spacing between grid points for each th GC. By combining multiple-grained grid layers it is possible to enable an Euclidean coordinate map and identify point of interest.
