Chaos-Fractals Theories and Applications

Description

Chaos and fractal are among the greatest discoveries of the 20th century, which have been widely investigated with significant progress and achievements. It has become an exciting emerging interdisciplinary area in which a broad spectrum of technologies and methodologies emerged to deal with large-scale, complex, and dynamical systems and problems.

The main focus of this special issue will be on the state-of-the-art advances in the studies of chaos-fractal theories and their applications regarding complex systems, cryptography, information processing, multimedia, communications, systems biology, economics, aerospace, chemical, mechanical, software, social sciences, and so on. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Chaotic dynamics
  • Chaos synchronization
  • Chaos-based control and optimization
  • Chaos-based cryptography
  • Chaos-based secure communications
  • Chaotic circuits design and modeling
  • Modeling and chaos in biological systems
  • Modeling and chaos in economical and financial systems
  • Dynamical systems on complex networks
  • Self-similar complex networks modeling
  • Fractal-based image processing
  • Fractal-based signal processing
  • Chaos, fractals, and computer science
  • Optical chaos and applications
  • Laser dynamics and nonlinear systems
