Effects of single and combined CoQ10 and TMZ treatments on MMP9 gene expression and protein expression of mesenchymal phenotype markers. Real-time qRT-PCR analysis was used to assess (a) MMP9 mRNA expression while Western blot analysis was used to determine (b) N-cadherin and (c) vimentin protein expression after 24 h treatment with 10 μM CoQ10, 250 μM TMZ, or their combination. The mRNA expression and protein expression were normalized to the internal control, β-actin and GAPDH, respectively. Relative protein expression is accompanied by representative immunoblots.
