PIN1 Protects Hair Cells and Auditory HEI-OC1 Cells against Senescence by Inhibiting the PI3K/Akt/mTOR Pathway

Schematic diagram of the observed effects and the antisenescence mechanism of PIN1 in the present study. H2O2 treatment resulted in oxidative damage, upregulated p-p53 expression, and activation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway. p-p53 negatively regulates PIN1 expression. Overexpression of PIN1 reversed the increase in p-p53 and inhibited the activation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway.
