Amplifying insulin response for G6PD activity and effect of BSO. Precultured isolated hepatocytes were incubated for 48 h in the basal WE medium as described in Figure 4. To the basal medium, insulin at a series of concentrations (10−10 to 10−6 M) was added, and G6PD activity was determined in the presence (closed circle) and absence (open circle) of 0.1 mM BSO.
