Advanced Composite Materials and Their Applications
Description
In the past few decades, extensive research efforts have been made to develop novel composite materials (CMs) including ceramic matrix CMs, metal matrix CMs, resin matrix CMs, organic CMs, etc., to use them in various applications such as electronics, rubber, plastics, detection of nanodevices and so on. CMs have increasingly received attention in the academic and industry society, because CMs can obtain advanced properties through the composite of materials. Thus, the development of CMs is always an interesting and challenging research topic.
To obtain high-performance materials, the materials design concept is crucial as this can guide the synthesis of novel and useful materials. Thus, designing further novel materials and investigating the relationship between the structures and properties of the materials is crucial for the development of progress of materials. Nevertheless, this is a challenging process to develop the materials and then discover the maximum potentials of their properties for use in industry applications.
Therefore, in this Special Issue, we welcome original research and review articles which focus on the development advanced composite materials and their applications.
