The figure shows the result of Hierarchical (a) k-means, (b) clustering and the dissimilarity matrix, (c) between all pairwise combinations of the cheeses shown in Supplemental Table 1. All methods identify a large cluster of cheese that are characterized by high relative abundance of Lactococcus. High relative abundance of Streptococcus, Lactobacillus or other genera are characteristic for smaller clusters.
