Effect of Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose-Beeswax Composite Edible Coatings Formulated with or without Antifungal Agents on Physicochemical Properties of Plums during Cold Storage

Fruit flesh firmness of “Friar” plums uncoated or coated with hydroxypropyl methylcellulose-beeswax edible coatings containing potassium sorbate (PS), sodium methyl paraben (SMP), or sodium ethyl paraben (SEP) and stored for 11 and 22 d at 1°C followed by 5 d at 20°C. Firmness at harvest was  N. Control A: uncoated; Control B: coating without antifungal agent. For each storage time, bars with different letters are significantly different according to Duncan’s range test () ().
