Miguel Angel Chiurillo

Miguel Angel Chiurillo received the Medical degree from Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA), Barquisimeto, Venezuela. He got the Ph.D. degree in biological sciences from Universidad Simon Bolivar, Caracas, Venezuela. Chiurillo currently works as an Associate Professor at the Biochemistry Section, Department of Functional Sciences, UCLA, Venezuela, and as a Visiting Professor at Universidade Federal de São Paulo, Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Parasitology. He also served as the Head of Molecular Genetic Laboratory, Faculty of Health Sciences, UCLA. He is a Member of the International Society for Forensic Genetics (ISFG) and a Member of the Spanish and Portuguese ISFG Working Group (GEP-ISFG). His experience includes forensic genetics, human genetic polymorphisms, molecular parasitology, and H. pylori virulence-associated genes. Chiurillo is the author of more than 50 papers in national and international journals.
