Diana E. Marco

U Diana E. Marco received her Ph.D. degree in biological sciences, in ecology, from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina, in 1996. During 1998-1999 she spent a posdoc stay in England. Since 2002, she has been a Researcher of the National Research Council (CONICET), Argentina, and a Professor at universities in Argentina, in the field of ecology. Her main research interests are in mutualistic interactions, population and community ecology, and biological invasions and cancer invasion, combining experimental and modelling work and emphasizing spatially explicit approaches. She is also interested in the molecular ecology approach and performed microbiological laboratory experiments to support interdisciplinary modelling works. She has authored scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings and edited several books. She serves currently as a member of the editorial board of several international journals and acts as project Reviewer for various national and international institutions. She is active in several scientific associations.
