Andrea Colantoni was born in Rome, Italy on December 21st, 1974. He received a degree in forestry from the University of Tuscia, Viterbo, Italy in 2000 and a Ph.D. degree in agricultural mechanics by the same University in 2006 in renewable energy application for the medium and small enterprise of the agro-forestry sector. Since October 2010, he is a Researcher in agricultural mechanics at the University of Tuscia. He is the author of 72 original publications. He has lectured different courses to graduate students in forestry and agrarian science, ergonomic and safety in agriculture, and forestry mechanization. He was the supervisor of graduate and Ph.D. theses in the fields of biomass, acoustic, and food safety. His research interests include mechanical forestry and agrarian, safety and health of the agro-forestry and agro-industries workplaces, and renewable energy for use in the small plants for electric production.
