Konstantinos Dimas received his B.S. degree in 1991 from the Department of Biology, University of Athens, Greece, and Ph.D. degree in pharmacology in 1999 from the Department of Pharmacology, University of Ioannina School of Medicine, Ioannina, Greece. Dr. Dimas has conducted research under various capacities at the Unit of Molecular Carcinogenesis (IARC, WHO, Lyon, France), Pasteur Institute of Athens (Greece), G. Papanicolaou Centre of Experimental Oncology (Athens, Greece), Division of Pharmacology/Pharmacotechnology, Foundation for Biomedical Research of the Academy of Athens (Athens, Greece). He has also collaborated with several biotech companies such as ADNA Inc., USA; Swaasth, USA; Medexis, Greece; Anavex, USA; he is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Health Sciences School at the University of Thessaly (Thessaly, Greece). He has coauthored three patent applications on pharmaceutical formulations for delivery of natural products for treatment of human leukemias, and has authored/coauthored more than 60 research articles published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and chapters in books.
