Ilaria Peluso

Ilaria Peluso graduated in biological sciences at University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy, in 1998. She continued with postgraduate studies at the same university: in 2002 she completed her Ph.D. degree in pharmacology, pharmacognosy, and toxicology, and in 2005 she obtained the Specialization degree in biotechnological applications. She collaborated in research projects in the Department of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology Unit, Tor Vergata University (Rome, Italy) (2006-2007), at National Institute for Food and Nutrition Research, (INRAN, Rome, Italy) (2008–2012), and in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology “Vittorio Erspamer”, University of Rome “La Sapienza” (Rome, Italy) (2013-2014). Since June 2014 Dr. Peluso has been a Researcher at the Research Centre for Food and Nutrition of the Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA-AN), Rome, Italy. She has focused her scientific interests on the topics related to immunonutrition, pharmanutrition, and markers of redox status in humans.
