Manfredi Tesauro

Manfredi Tesauro received his Medical degree from the School of Medicine and Surgery, the University of Palermo, Palermo, Italy, in 1995. He completed his fellowship in endocrinology and metabolic disease at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy, in 2000. From 1998 to 2002, Tesauro served as a Visiting Fellow at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, and National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md, USA, to investigate the mechanisms leading to vascular damage in conditions associated with increased atherosclerotic risk. He currently serves as a Clinical Investigator at the Department of Internal Medicine, the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Tesauro is a recipient of several awards and grants. He is member of many scientific societies and serves as ad hoc reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include pathophysiological mechanisms of endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis in patients with diabetes, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. He authored several publications in top ranked peer-reviewed journals.
