Uri Zilberman

Uri Zilberman was born in Romania in 1956 and arrived at Israel in 1966. He obtained the D.M.D. degree in pediatric dentistry from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel, in 1983 and finished his Ph.D. degree in basic science in 2000. Since 2008, he has been the Head of the Pediatric Dental Clinic at Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, the only hospital-based dental clinic in Israel with accreditation to prepare GPs for specialization in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Zilberman is a Senior Lecturer at the Ben-Gurion university in Beer-Sheva and is responsible for a course on pathophysiology of the oral cavity for fourth-year pharmacology students. He is also a Researcher at the Laboratory of Bioanthropology. He is the Coeditor of a book on physical anthropology dedicated to Professor Smith patricia, his mentor, and published more than 25 scientific papers in international dental and anthropology journals. He invented new methods and devices for pediatric dental treatment.
