Research activities: Instrumentation for experimental cardiosurgery: assisted circulation - intra-aortal balloon counterpulsation, measurement of the blood pressure, Achilles tendon reflex measurement, microcomputer controlled pulse generator for NMR experiments, magnetic field measuring instrument, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance - proton density distribution and imaging. From 1995 - professor of “Measurement Science” at the Slovak University of Technology, Bratislava, Teaching at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, courses: Medical Imaging techniques. Permanent member of commissions for final state examinations at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak Technical University Member of the Scientific Board for Electronics and Material Technology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (1999 - 2002, chairman). Chairman of the Commission for PhD study: Bionics and Biomechanics. Director of the Institute of Measurement Science, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, (1998 - 2006). Member of Slovak Cybernetic Society, member of Slovak Medical Society and member of The Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society of the IEEE. From 1997 he is a member and representative in IMEKO TC7 (Technical Committee on Measurement Science) for Slovak Republic. Editor-in-chief of the MEASUREMENT SCIENCE JOURNAL, ISSN 1335 – 8871, from 2001 until now.
