Irene Konstantopoulou

National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos", Greece


Irene Konstantopoulou was born in Athens, Greece, in 1966. She took the B.S. (1990) and Ph.D. (1997) degrees in biology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 1998, she has been posted at the Demokritos, National Center of Scientific Research, Athens, Greece, initially as a Postdoctoral Fellow and, since 2007 to date, as a Staff Scientist at The Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory. Her main scientific interests are cancer genetics and hereditary cancer syndromes.
