Maxim P. Evstigneev

Maxim P. Evstigneev was born in Simferopol, Ukraine, in 1975. In 1998, he graduated from Sevastopol National Technical University (SevNTU), Ukraine and started Ph.D. course which was completed in 2002 by receiving his Ph.D. degree in molecular biophysics. From 2001 up to 2007, he was a Lecturer and, from 2005, a Reader in physics and biophysics. In 2007, Evstigneev received D.S. degree in molecular biophysics, and since 2008 until present, he has been a Full Professor of physics and biophysics at the Department of Physics (SevNTU) and the Head of Molecular Biophysics Research Group. In 2003–2004 and 2008, he received a Fellowship from the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK). In 2001, 2007, and 2008, Evstigneev was awarded prizes for prominent contribution to science from Cabinet of Ministries and the President of the Ukraine. Presently, he is a Member of the American Chemical Society, Head of Sevastopol Branch of Ukrainian biophysical society, Responsible Editor of SevNTU journal, and the Chairman of Academic Board for awarding Ph.D. degree in biophysics. His research interests lie in the field of structure and thermodynamics of biomolecular interactions probed by the methods of UV-Vis and NMR spectroscopes and molecular modeling.
