Pedro M. Ruiz

Pedro M. Ruiz graduated in 2002 with a Ph.D. degree in telematics from the University of Murcia, Murcia, Spain. During last years he has held a few research positions including a Ramon y Cajal research career, Visiting Researcher at ICSI in Berkeley, Research Associate within CCRG at University of California, Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz, CA, USA, and Visiting Research Fellow within the CTR at King’s College London, London, UK. In addition, he also worked for the Spanish National Research Network (RedIRIS), Agora Systems S.A., and the Department of Telematic Engineering of University Carlos III in Madrid, Spain. Currently he works in the area of telematic engineering at the Department of Information and Communications Engineering of the University of Murcia. His main research interests are related to analysis and design of efficient communication protocols for highly distributed and heterogeneous systems including wireless ad hoc and sensor networks, mesh networks, and vehicular ad hoc networks.
