Chengquan Zhao works as an Associate Professor at University of Pittsburgh and as an Associate Director of cytopathology at Magee Women’s Hospital, University Pittsburgh Medical Center. He graduated from Qingdao Medical College, China, in 1983, obtaining his M.D. degree. He came to the USA in 1993 and performed research on molecular biology of antimicrobial peptides for seven years at University of California, Los Angeles, as an Assistant Research Professor. He received his pathology training from Drexel University, and a fellowship in gynecology/breast pathology and cytology from AFIP and University of Southern California. His research interests have included clinicopathologic and immunohistochemical studies of epithelial and nonepithelial tumors of the ovary and the prevention of cervical carcinoma. Currently, He is a Member of CAP Cytopathology Committee, ASC Committee on the Cervical Screening Algorithm Task Force, and ASC eJournal Committee.
