Bojan A. Marinkovic

Bojan A. Marinkovic works as an Engineer of crystallography and mineralogy. He received his first degree in 1995 and his M.S. degree in materials science in 1997, both from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. In 2003, he received his D.S. degree in materials engineering and metallurgical and chemical processes from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From 1997 to 1999, he worked as a Research Assistant in Materials Science Department, the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, the University of Belgrade. In the period from 2003 to 2010, he worked at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro as a Research Associate. In 2010, he joined the Department of Materials Engineering at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro as an Assistant Professor. Since 2009, he has been working as a Professor at the postgraduate program in Materials at the Fundação Oswaldo Aranha, Brazil. His principal research area is ceramic materials with a focus on synthesis, characterization, and applications of TiO2-based nanostructures and negative thermal expansion ceramics. He has a special interest in diffraction and electron microscopy techniques as materials characterization tools.
