Yuh-Shyan Hwang was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1966. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University, in 1996. From 1991 to 1996, he served as a Lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Lee-Ming Institute of Technology, and from 1996 to 2003 as an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Hwa-Hsia Institute of Technology. He joined the Department of Electronic Engineering and Graduate Institute of Computer and Communication at the National Taipei University of Technology (TAIPEI TECH) in 2003. At present, he works as a Full Professor and serves as the Department Chair. Dr. Hwang has published more than 100 journal and conference papers (SCI and EI-indexed). He serves as a Reviewer for more than 10 technical journals. He has been serving on the Editorial Board of Active and Passive Electronic Components Journal since 2010, the Editorial Board of the Journal of Engineering in the subject area of electrical engineering since 2012, and the Editorial Board of the Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing Journal, Far East Journal of Electronics and Communications, and ISRN Electronics since 2013. He has been serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems since 2013. He works as a Technical Program Committee Member for VLSI Design/CAD Symposium in Taiwan from 2010 to 2013. His research interests include analog/power/mixed-signal integrated circuit design, VLSI design, current-mode analog signal processing, and integrated circuits for power management.
