Jun-ichi Satoh

Jun-ichi Satoh, born in Tokyo in 1958, received the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 1988. He received professional training as a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Research Associate at the University of British Columbia, during 1988–1990 and 1992–1995, respectively. He worked as a clinical neurologist, Saga Medical School Hospital, during 1995–2002, and then he moved to the National Institute of Neuroscience, NCNP, acting as a Laboratory Chief in the Department of Immunology, during 2002–2006. Since 2006, he is serving as a Professor at Meiji Pharmaceutical University in the Department of Bioinformatics and Molecular Neuropathology, and a Head of High-Tech Research Center of MPU. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Clinical and Experimental Neuroimmunology. His research interests include bioinformatics approach for identifying molecular biomarkers and therapeutic targets for multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer disease.
