Hsing I. Hsiang

Hsing I. Hsiang serves currently as a Professor at the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He received his B.S. degree in mineral science and engineering from National Cheng Kung University in 1985. His M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mineral and materials science were earned from the National Cheng Kung University in 1990 and 1995, respectively. From 1995 to 2000, he worked as the RD Director and as the Assistant Vice President at Mag. Layers Co. Ltd., Hsinchu, Taiwan. During this time, he developed the low-temperature firing NiCuZn ferrites, hexagonal ferrites and LTCC materials, which have been used in multilayer chip inductors and RF passive components. After briefly serving as an Assistant Professor at I-Shu University, Kaoshiung, Taiwan, from 2000 to 2001, he joined the Department of Resources Engineering, National Cheng Kung University. His research interests include powder synthesis, ceramic processing, and development of magnetic and dielectric materials. He has published more than 70 technical papers and 10 patents.
