Oscar A. Sampayo

Oscar A. Sampayo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1958. He graduated in physics in 1985 and received a Ph.D. degree from the Universidad de La Plata in 1989. After obtaining postdoctoral fellowships at the Universities of Santiago de Compostela (1990), Spain, Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona (1991-1992), Spain, and the Centro de Investigacion y Estudios Avanzados (CINVESTAV) (from 1993 to 1995), Mexico, he first became Titular Professor at CINVESTAV and after an Associated professor (1996) at the Department de Fisica, Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (Argentina), where currently he is a Professor. His research activity has been focused on the phenomenology of particle physics and models beyond the standard model, perturbative QCD, Higgs physics, and cosmic and atmospheric neutrinos.
