Ali A. Ensafi

Ali A Ensafi graduated with a B.S. degree from Shiraz University in 1986 in chemistry, then in M.S. from Shiraz University in 1988 in analytical chemistry, and finally in Ph.D. from Shiraz University in 1991 in analytical chemistry. He works as a Professor (since 2000) at Isfahan University of Technology. He has been selected by the Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) several times as a Best Researcher in 1996, 1999, 2002, 2005, 2007, and 2010, awarded three times as a Best Researcher in basic science in Isfahan Province (Iran), awarded from International Sheikh Bahaei Festival on 1999, and awarded as a Distinguished Researcher from Kharazmi International Festival (Iran, by the President of Iran) in basic science on 2004. He was selected as an ISI Scientist and as a Distinguished Scientist from the organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) on 2010. Ensafi has published more than 220 papers in international journals (ISI) and published three books (analytical chemistry), being a writer in one of them and the other two being translations. He is a Regional Editor of Pakistanian Journal of Applied Sciences and on the Editorial or Advisory Board of Mediterranean Journal of Chemistry, Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering (Iran), The Open Enzyme Inhibition Journal, The Netherlands, Journal of Spectroscopy and Dynamics, Journal of Applied Sciences Research, The Netherlands, Australian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, and Scientia Iranica (Iran). Ensafi is a Member of the Iranian Chemical Society and International Electrochemical Society. He has several students in Ph.D. and M.S. degrees, and up to now 20 Ph.D. and more than 90 M.S. students are supervised. Ensafi's research experiences are introduction of new spectroscopic & electrochemical methods, sensors & biosensors for determining of ultra-traces amounts of some species, single and simultaneously (inorganic, pharmaceutical & organic compounds) and application of DNA and nanoparticles to construction of biosensors and pharmaceutical sensors.
