Rajesh Kumar Sharma is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Cognitive Radio Network Group (CRNG) in the International Graduate School on Mobile Communications at Ilmenau University of Technology, Germany. He received the B.S. degree (with honors) in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan, in 1998, the M.Eng. degree in telecommunications from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Jacobs University, Bremen, Germany, in 2010. Before joining Cognitive Radio Network Group in February 2011, he worked for few months as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Jacobs University, Germany. His current research focus is on cognitive radio, especially on the physical layer issues: sensing and reconnaissance, RF frontend, antennas, virtual electromagnetic emulation environment, and cognitive radio application scenarios including disaster situations. His other research interests include MIMO communications, wireless physical layer security, and wireless channel modeling.y, and wireless channel modeling.
