Paolo Bifulco received the Italian degree in electronic engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. From 1991 to 1992 he attended the European Course on Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics at the University of Patras. In 1994 he was a Research Assistant at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research of the University of Southampton, UK. He received the Ph.D. degree in bioengineering in 1998 from the University of Bologna, Italy. He has been involved in research in biomedical engineering, mainly at the University of Naples Federico II. He is a Member of the Italian Bioengineering Group. He also participated in international and national research projects. During 2000 and 2001 he was a Research Assistant at the University of Naples Federico II. Since 2004 he has been a Researcher in bioengineering at the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering of the University of Naples. Since 2005, he has been an Aggregate Professor. In 2007 he was a Member of the Chartered Engineering Committee in Naples. He acted as a reviewer for international journals. He participated in many international conferences. Main scientific interests are in the field of biomedical signal and image processing, biomedical instrumentation, clinical engineering, telemedicine, and healthcare telematics, as documented by his scientific publications.
