Ibrahim M. Elhassan
Ibrahim Elhassan is Professor of Parasitology, at the Department of Microbiology Faculty of Medicine. He also holds the positions of Director of the Medical Laboratories. He is the chair of the Ethical committee at Jazan University. Dr Elhassan has obtained his M Sc. degree from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 1986. He then went for a PhD in Immunology at Copenhagen University (1997). He also obtained the Diploma of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene in 1995, at Copenhagen University. Dr Elhassan has attended several international workshops and short courses on immunological, molecular biological techniques, biostatistics, and health research ethics. Epidemiology and immunity to malaria and leishmaniasis are key research areas for Dr Elhassan. He has authored and co authored more than 46 peer-reviewed scientific papers. In addition he is a member of a number international committees and research net works working in the infectious diseases.
