José A. Sánchez-Alcázar

José A. Sánchez-Alcázar was born in 1958. He received his B.S. degree from Universidad de Sevilla, Spain, in 1980 in biology and his M.D. degree from the same university in 1986 in medicine. He got his Ph.D. degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, and a Ph.D. degree in 1995 in biochemistry. He went on a Residency in clinical chemistry from 1988 to 1991. From 1987 to 1992, he was a resident medical doctor (Clin. Biochem) at Hospital 12 de Octubre, Madrid, Spain. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow from 1993 to 1995 at Fondo de Investigación Sanitaria, Spain, from 1996 to 1997 at Schering-Plough, from 1997 to 1998 at Health Research, Inc. Albany, NY, USA, from 1998 to 2000 at the Spanish Government, and from 2000 to 2001 at Nottingham University, UK. From 2001 to 2008, he was an Associate Professor at Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Sevilla, Spain. From 2008 to present, he has been a Tenured Professor in cell biology at the same university.
