Victor Alchanatis

Victor Alchanatis was born in Athens, Greece in 1962. He received his B.S. (summa cum laude), M.S., and D.S. degrees from the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in 1985, 1988, and 1992, respectively. He held a postdoctorate position at Texas A&M University, Tex, from 1993 to 1995, and since 1995 he is a Research Scientist at the Institute of Agriculture Engineering, ARO, Israel. He is the Head of the Department of Sensing, Information, and Mechanization Engineering. His research interests are mainly in computer vision, sensing systems, and automation for precision farming.
