Fabrizia Lattanzio was born in Popoli, Italy, on April 29, 1966. She received her M.D. degree and Ph.D. degree in preventive geriatric medicine from Catholic Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy, in 1990 and 1998, respectively. In 1994, she specializes in geriatrics, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy. In 2000, she did a fellowship in health economics and outcomes assessment at College of Pharmacy in Phoenix, USA. Her professional appointments include Outcomes Research Unit, Pfizer, Italy (1998–2006), the Health Economic Outcomes Manager, Schering Plough Italy (2007), and the Scientific Director, National Institute of Aging, Ancona, Italy (2008). She is currently coordinating several national research projects on comprehensive geriatric assessment, quality of care, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacoeconomics with a special focus on dementia. She was a Professor of geriatrics and gerontology, residency program at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy (1999-2000), and the Coordinator of Master in Organizzazione e Gestione dei Servizi Geriatrici, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy (2006–2008). Dr. Lattanzio is an author of numerous publications in national and international journals. Her field of research includes epidemiology of health care services for elderly individuals, frailty, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmachoeconomics.
