Cristiano Giusti was born in Rome, Italy, in 1965. He completed his medical degree summa cum laude (1991), specialization in ophthalmology (1996), and M.S. degree in laser applications in ophthalmology (1997) at the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. He is now serving as the Chief's Aide at the Department of Ophthalmology, University Hospital Campus Bio-Medico of Rome, where he also worked as an Assistant Professor. He is an author and coauthor of several scientific publications, with special interests in medical retina (diabetic retinopathy, retinitis pigmentosa, central serous chorioretinopathy). He is also a Member of the Editorial Board for European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences and serves as a reviewer of several renowned ophthalmological journals. Since 2012, he has become a Member of the Editorial Board for Medical Hypothesis, Discovery and Innovation (MEHDI) in Ophthalmology.
