Thomas Mandl studied information and computer science at the University of Regensburg and at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. He worked as a Research Assistant at the Social Science Information Centre in Bonn, Germany, and as Associate Professor at the University of Hildesheim in Germany where he is currently teaching in the program International Information Management. He received a doctorate degree and a postdoctoral degree from the University of Hildesheim. His research interests include information retrieval, human-computer interaction, and internationalization of information technology. He has published on multilingual information systems and quality of web pages.
