Leonardo Velasco

Leonardo Velasco serves as a Scientific Researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture in Córdoba, Spain, which belongs to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). He acts as an agricultural engineer. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in genetics from the University of Cordoba, Spain, and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Göttingen, Germany. His research focuses on oilseed breeding, with emphasis in developing methods for seed quality analysis adapted to plant breeding as well as discovery and characterization of novel traits related to seed and oil quality.
