Wanda Lattanzi

Wanda Lattanzi is an Assistant Professor of Human Anatomy at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, School of Medicine, in Rome, Italy, where she teaches anatomy classes in distinct master degree courses. She also works in the Musculoskeletal Tissue Bank in Rome, as a Medical Validator within the coordination staff at the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology of the same University. Dr. Lattanzi earned her medical degree and specialization in medical genetics from the University of Bari, Italy. Her research efforts are mainly focused on congenital bone diseases, basic biology of osteogenesis, molecular and cell-based approaches for bone regeneration, mesenchymal stem cells isolation, and characterization and use in regenerative medicine applications. She coordinates the research activity aiming at studying genetic basis of craniosynostosis, being the Italian representative for the International Craniosynostosis Consortium (https://genetics.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/icc.cfm). Dr. Lattanzi is author of 33 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 2 book chapters, and Member of the Editorial Board of three international journals.
