Srećko Kirin

Srecko I. Kirin graduated from the University of Zagreb, Croatia (1991, natural product synthesis, with A. Deljac), and worked as Research Chemist at PLIVA Pharmaceutical Industry, Zagreb. In 1994, He obtained his M.S. degree in enantioselective catalysis, with V. Sunjic. In 1998, he got his Doctoral degree in organosilicon chemistry, with M. Eckert-Maksic, at the Rudjer Boskovic Institute, Zagreb, Croatia (1993-2001). After Postdoctoral positions in Germany (2001-2006, with N. Metzler-Nolte at University of Heidelberg) and USA (2006-2007, with M. E. Williams at Penn State University), he returned to the Rudjer Boskovic Institute where he currently serves as a Research Associate (2008 till now). His research interests include coordination chemistry, inorganic stereochemistry, homogeneous catalysis, and bioinorganic and bioorganometallic chemistry.
