Vladimir Stantchev

Vladimir Stantchev studied law at the Sofia University, Sofia, Bulgaria, and also earned his M.S. degree in computer science from the Humboldt-University in Berlin, Germany. He received his Ph.D. degree in the area of system architectures from the EECS Department of the Berlin Institute of Technology (TU Berlin), Berlin, Germany. Stantchev is the Executive Director of the Institute of Information Systems at SRH University Berlin, Berlin, Germany, where he is a Research Professor with IT governance as his research focus. He is also an Affiliated Senior Researcher with the Networking Group at the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) in Berkeley, CA, USA. In 2008, he was a Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar, Fellow, at the University of California and the International Computer Science Institute, Berkeley, CA, USA. Establishing reliable corporate processes through research and knowledge transfer is a major objective of Stantchev’s activities. His major research interests are in the areas of IT governance, cloud computing architectures, IT strategy, methods for service, and software engineering. He has published over 50 articles, papers, and reports and is an author and coauthor of several books.
