Noemí Reguart received her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. She works as a Consultant at the Department of Medical Oncology, Hospital Clinic, Barcelona (2008–2011). After her fellowship in this hospital (1997–2001), she has been trained for two years with Rosell in the Molecular Biology Laboratory as Fellow Researcher (2002-2003). She later worked as a Research Fellow with D. M. Jablons (2004-2005) at the Department of Thoracic Surgery in San Francisco, UCSF, Calif, USA. With Jablons, she participated in various research projects in the field of lung cancer and mesothelioma and focused on the Wnt signaling pathways which form the basis of her doctoral thesis (2004–2007). Afterwards, Reguart completed her clinical and translational training in lung cancer working in collaboration with Rosell (2005–2009). Currently, her work is mainly focused on lung cancer patients in conjunction with the development of a basic research program at IDIBAPS Research Institute, Barcelona, directed towards lung cancer stroma. She has been an Active Member of the Spanish Lung Cancer Group (SLCG) since 2002, and has been involved in the design of many of their trials.
