P. Thévenaz

P. Thévenaz was born in 1962 in Lausanne, Switzerland. He graduated from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 1986. He then joined the Institute of Microtechnology of the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, where he obtained a Ph.D. degree in 1993. From 1994 to 1996, he was a Visiting Fellow with the Biomedical Engineering and Instrumentation Program (BEIP), National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Md, USA, where he developed research interests that include splines andmultiresolution signal representations, geometric image transformations, visualization, and biomedical image registration. In 1996, he became a Visiting Associate. From 1998 to 2001, he is with the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), in the Biomedical Imaging Group of the Institute of Imaging and Applied Optics. Since 2004, he is the Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging.
