Gordana Jovanovic Dolecek

Gordana Jovanovic Dolecek received her B.S. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, her M.S. degree from the University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia, and her Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She was a Full Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, until 1993, and from 1993 to 1995, she was with the Mihailo Pupin Institute, Belgrade, Serbia. In 1995, she joined the Department of Electronics, INAOE, Tonantzintla, PUE, Mexico, where she works as a Full Professor. From 2001 to 2006, she was with the University of California, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, and from 2008 to 2009, she was with the San Diego State University, San Diego, CA, USA, as a Visiting Scholar. She was invited to hold lectures and short courses a number of times across the world. In 2012, she published with Springer the book Random Signals and Processes Primer with MATLAB. She is a reviewer for 13 SCI journals and many indexed international conferences, and she was a member of program committee for several international conferences. She was a Guest Editor of Special Issue on Advanced Techniques on Multirate Signal Processing for Digital Information Processing, the journal ETRI Signal Processing. She is the author/coauthor of four books, Editor of one book, and author of 19 book chapters and more than 300 journal and conference papers. She is a recipient of the Puebla State Award for Science 2012. Her research interests include digital signal processing and digital communications. She is a Senior Member of IEEE, Member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, and Member of the National Researcher System (SNI), Mexico.
