J. Hoover-Plow is currently an associate staff at the Departments of Cardiovascular Medicine and Molecular Cardiology, Cleveland Clinic, with appointments at Case University and Kent University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of California, Davis, Calif, USA. He has reviewed grants and review manuscripts for prominent journals. His research background includes genetic determinants of adipose tissue physiology and behavior in mice. His current research interests are focused on the physiology and pathology of cardiovascular disease, including the molecular basis of the pathophysiology of lipoprotein(a), role of plasminogen in leukocyte and stem cell recruitment, and genetic modifiers of thrombosis.
