Sang Soo Lee received his Medical degree from the College of Medicine, Hallym University, Chuncheon, Republic of Korea. Dr. Lee, Professor of orthopedic surgery, serves as the Head of Orthopedic Surgery and Director of the Institute for Skeletal Aging at the same university. He also received a Ph.D. degree in the field of basic orthopedic research from Hallym University Graduate School. He had completed his Residency at the Hallym University Medical Center, Republic of Korea, and Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, NY, USA. He specializes in the surgical treatment of joint disease and orthopedic trauma. He is one of the leading research experts in the field of skeletal aging and osteolysis, following joint replacement. His current work is focused on studying molecular regulatory mechanism leading to bone diseases like arthritis, osteolysis, and so on. He serves on various grant review committees including the Korea Research Fund served by the Korean government.
