Jin Xie

Jin Xie graduated from the Hefei University of Technology (HFUT), Anhui, China, in December 2010 and got a Ph.D. degree. His major is computer application technology. His main research interests include computer- aided geometric design and computer graphics. During three years of education as a Ph.D. candidate, he did research in nonlinear spline curves/surfaces and its applications. He also participated in the National Natural Science Foundation Program held by supervisor Tan Jieqing, in which he sharpened his research aptitude and broadened his knowledge ken. Xie currently serves as an Associate Professor of Hefei University of Anhui province, China. Currently, as the host, he is holding the Anhui Province Natural Foundation Program. In September 2004, he entered HFUT and his major then was computational mathematics, which is an interdiscipline between mathematics and computer. Lectures ranging from mathematics analysis to scientific computation given by many distinguished professors in HFUT aroused his curiosity in mathematics. So far, he has written about 10 pieces of papers on computer-aided geometric design.
