Luca De Nardis

Luca De Nardis received both his Laurea degree in telecommunications engineering and his Ph.D. degree in information and communication theory from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 2001 and 2005, respectively. Since 2004, he serves as a Research Affiliate at the INFO-COM Department of the University of Rome La Sapienza. From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a Visiting Scholar at the Berkeley Wireless Research Center, part of the EECS Department at the University of California at Berkeley. He served as a Visiting Postdoctor in the same institution from 2006 to 2007. Since 2002, he has been participating in European IST projects focusing on all key aspects of ultrawide band communication systems. He is actually involved in the PULSERS and LIAISON EU IP projects dealing with MAC, networking, and positioning protocols for UWB networks. His research interests focus on UWB radio technology, ad hoc networks organization, medium access control, and routing protocols for wireless networks as well as distributed synchronization and positioning in ad hoc and sensor networks. He is a Member of the IEEE since 1998.
