Jiangping Hu received his B.S. degree in applied mathematics and his M.S. degree in computational mathematics from Lanzhou University, China, in 2000 and 2004, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in complex system modeling and control from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (AMSS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, China, in 2007. From September 2007 to August 2008, he was a Postdoc in Department of Mathematics, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. Since 2008 he has been an Associate Professor of School of Automation Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China. He was a Senior Research Associate in Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2010-2011, and a Visiting Associate Professor in Department of Engineering and Applied Science, Sophia University, Tokyo, in 2012. His current research interests include multiagent systems, sensor networks, and air traffic control. He is serving as an Editor of International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks.
